Mumbai: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was received by the Governor of Maharashtra, K Sankaranarayanan and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan on his arrival, at Mumbai Airport on Monday July 21.
Later in the evening, the PM interacted with the scientists of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and BARC during his visit. He was felicitated by the Secretary of DAE and Chairman, AEC – Dr RK Sinha.
Modi also briefed on the development of the Indian Pressurised Water Reactor, large scale accelerators, Indian Neutrino Observatory and large size nuclear recycle plants during his visit, a state government official said.
This will be Modi’s first visit to Mumbai after becoming the Prime Minister.
