Sullia : Thousand right wing activists from Sullia will be taking part in the nation-wide agitation at Puttur planned by right wing groups on February 26 against cow slaughter.
Disclosing the details at a press briefing VHP Sullia unit (Prakhanda) president Ganapathi Bhat Manjigundi said that the right wing groups led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishat have planned a day’s protest demanding total ban on cow slaughter. Hindu seers will be leading the agitation where thousands of VHP, Bajrang dal and other right wing groups are likely to take part. The protests have been planned in many important and strategic centres across the country on February 26.
Their other demands include punishment for the guilty with imprisonment upto seven years and fines up to Rs 50,000. Uniform law across the nation on cow slaughter and seizure of vehicles involved in illegal transportation of cows are included in the list of demands.
Fencing Gomalas after survey and growing green grass for feeding cows in those areas are among the demands where the right wing activists will be forcing the central government to fulfil wishes of Gandhiji on cow slaughter.
Many prominent BJP and right wing leaders were present during the press briefing.
