Mangaluru: The ten-day Chinnara Chilipili Summer Camp concluded at the Regional Science Centre of Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama organised in association with Cappella School of Art, Bangalore on Sunday, April 23.
Children lit the lamp at the valedictory event of the camp where Dr. K V Rao, Director of Pilikulas Regional Science Centre, was among the guests.
Emphasising on the importance of the camp, Dr. K V Rao advised parents not to force their will on innocent minds, instead encourage their formation in accordance with their liking.
The 10-day-long camp for students in the age group of 6 to 14 was held between 10 am and 4 pm from from April 12 to April 23. Experts from the Cappella School of Art, Bengaluru trained and informed children about soft skills and creative art. About 82 students from Mangaluru and surrounding areas participated in the camp. Certificates of appreciation were issued to all the students who participated in the camp.
Resource persons M Gibson, Veena Prasanna, Vani Gokul Das, Mallika, Bhaskar N, Vidya, Sharat, Murari, Prakash danced to the “tunes of thoughts” while imparting “skills.”
Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama V Prasanna, Administrator Babu Devadiga and Project Manager Dr. Nithin were present.
The director and organiser of the Cappella School of Art Maithili welcomed the gathering at this memorable event compered by two little child participants.
