Mangaluru: As a final attempt to thwart the Yettinahole Project, Nethravathi Rakshana Samyukta Samithi, which has been opposing the implementation of Yettinahole project, has announced that it will launch a struggle or a surgical strike against the project on January 26.
Samithi President Vijay Kumar Shetty said that the Samithi has decided to carry out a surgical strike on January 26 and step up the protest. He said that the Samiti has been forced to do this because the state government is adamant on carrying on with the project, which is detrimental to the coastal belt.
Without revealing more details of the protest planned on Republic Day, Shetty said that the officials and politicians are working against Dakshina Kannada district. It is a conspiracy to loot the money in the name of Yettinahole project.
