Mangaluru: The Rotary Club of Mangalore and Rotaract Club of SDM PG Centre for Management Studies, in association with Rotary Club of Bangalore will be organising ROTOQUIZ 2017 on Sunday, September 17 at SDM PG Centre for Management Studies & Research, MG Road Mangaluru.
Around 29 institutions and 49 teams had participated in the quiz organised by the club last year and its finalist went on to win the third place at the state-level quiz held in Bengaluru last year.
The winning team gets an opportunity to participate in the final round of 58th Ramnarayan Chellaram Annual Inter-Collegiate Quiz – ROTOQUIZ-2017 to be organised by Rotary Club of Bangalore and Rotaract Club of Bangalore to be held in Bangalore on Monday, September 25.
The quiz, which happens to be one of the longest running live college quiz shows in the world, is being organised by Rotary Club of Bangalore and Rotaract Club of Bangalore.
Details of the quiz:
Format –Written Preliminary Round followed by Semi Finals of top performing teams. The winner of these rounds will go to Bangalore. Topics for all rounds will be General Knowledge and Awareness.
Teams – Maximum of two teams, of 2 students each, will represent one college. However, only one team from a college will be selected for Semi Finals, even if more qualify.
For whom – Open to students from Std. XII or PUC 2nd Year upwards including under graduates and post graduate students from any stream from a recognised academic institution.
Prizes – Mangalore Round: Sponsored by Ideal Ice Creams, Mangalore.
First, Second, Third place prizes are Rs. 10,000, Rs. 5,000, Rs. 5,000 respectively.
Bangalore Round: Sponsored by Chellarams Jewellers, Bangalore in addition to the rolling shield, individual trophies and certificates, cash prizes will be:
First, Second, Third, Fourth place prizes are Rs. 20,000, Rs.15,000, Rs. 7,500, Rs. 5000 respectively.
