Mangaluru: It is usually the teachers who cane the students to show them the right path. But, here in Mangaluru a rogue undergraduate student from Milagres Degree college physically assaulted the Principal after he was denied hall ticket. The student did not end his unruly behaviour there, but he went on to issue life threat to the Principal.

Mohammad Shahnawaz, 21, physically assaulted Principal of Milagres College, Fr. Michael Santhumayor and threatened him. According to the Mangaluru North Police, Fr. Michael denied hall ticket to Shahnawaz for his fifth semester when he beat Fr. Michael up before threatening him.

Shahnawaz is pursuing his final year Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). He had a severe attendance shortage in the semester, which is why Fr. Michael did not give him the hall ticket.

However, the principal opted not to talk about this incident when contacted. More information from the police is expected shortly. It is said that the Principal is not injured in the episode but was admitted to Father Mullers Hospital in Kankanady.
