Mangaluru: The Property Proprietary Card (PR card) has been made mandatory in the 32 villages of the Mangalore Metropolitan Area. The record collection for assets in Suratkal, Idiya and Katipalla under Municipal Corporation will be held from June 5 to 15 for the benefit of the urban property holders.

All property owners, including those owning unregistered apartments, can now obtain authorised documents from the office of Urban Planning and Government Employees’ Union Building (NGO), Mangaluru. Officials may be contacted over telephone 0824-4266222 for more information or relevant documents furnished when staff from the department of urban planning visit the site/apartment during the period.

The Cauvery Software and UPOR software will soon be integrated into the Department of Registration, for subsequent registration of any assets and hence PR becomes mandatory, stated the notification.

The notification was issued simultaneously from the offices of the Planning Commissioner, Urban Planning Division, Mangalore, Technical Assistant to Deputy Commissioner and Office of Deputy Director of land Records, Mangalore.
