Sullia: The prime minister has written a letter to Padmashri award winner Girish Bhardwaj to extend his support to realise the dream of Mahatma Gandhi by dedicating time and efforts in Swacchatha Abhiyan.
“After making immense contribution in building hanging bridges to provide connectivity to the people living in remote corners, your contribution for Swacchatha-e-seva is vital,” PM noted in his letter.
The health of the large populace in India revolves around cleanliness and contributing towards cleanliness by creating awareness and active participation is one of the biggest contributions an individual can make for the country, PM stated in his letter.
Responding to PM’s letter, Girish Bhardwaj well known as “Bridge Man” said Swatchatha Andolan would be launched in his home town in Sullia to coincide with Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday on October 2. Thereafter a fortnightly assessment to improve upon will be carried out with support and cooperation of all people, Bhardwaj stated.
