Mangaluru: Several petty shops were evicted at City bus stand and Rao and Rao circle following DC’s order on March 15.
The eviction was carried out under the supervision of MCC officials, Revenue officer Praveen Chandra, Health officer Manjayya Shetty, police and KSRP platoons.

According to sources the eviction will be carried out in several other places.

The district commissioner last week had ordered for the eviction of unauthorised shops in the city.

During eviction owner of a Nandini milk booth indulged in a verbal spat with the officials. He alleged that despite having trade licence, the officials have carried out eviction and caused damage to his shop.
