Mangalore: The KSRTC has initiated action against a conductor and TC who had harassed and offended a lady passenger while travelling in a sleeper coach from Mangalore to Bangalore recently.
It may be recalled here that News Karnataka had presented an investigative report based on the September 10 night incident when a passenger Sowmya(name changed) who had booked the ticket online was harassed by a conductor who forced her to get down the bus in the night despite her producing all necessary documents. The lady passenger had later lodged a complaint with KSRTC authorities.
The KSRTC Mangalore Division’s Chief Traffic Manager Mahesh has now served a show cause notice to TC Gopal Poojari and Conductor Erappa Kolli have been demoted by deputing him to work in KSRTC’s city service buses.
