MCC takes out eviction drive to clear footpath encroachments

Mangaluru: A team of Mangaluru City Corporation officers took out an eviction drive in the city and cleared off the footpaths that were occupied by the street vendors in Market Road, here on Wednesday, April 19.

mcc raid market 16Speaking to newskarnataka.com Praveen Chandra Karkera, Revenue Officer said ” We have evicted two petty shops, one telephone booth and three push-carts and also warned shops not to occupy the footpaths.”

Raid was conducted at around 9:45am and it continued till afternoon.

Assistant Town Planing Officer Shivaraj and Revenue Inspectors were present.
