MCC decides to stop water rationing and regularise supply

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Kavitha Sanil has announced that from now on the people in the city will get water everyday. Thanking the Mangaluru citizens for cooperating in successful implementation of the water rationing in the city, she said that water was being provided regularly from 7 am since April 26, she added.

She also said that water level in Tumbe vented dam is 4.22 meters and about 4.49 meters in AMR dam which is sufficient for the city for one month.

Urging the water bill defaulters to pay the bill very soon, she said,”The amount of water bill due amount from Surthkal ward 1 to 11 is about Rs 5.24 Crore, Chelyar Rs 5 Lakh and from Bala Rs 18 Lakh. Totally there are 19,668 water connections to these places.”

On this occasion, Corporator Shashidar Hegde and others were present.
