Belthangadi: “A lasting and interesting storyline will define my future in Kannada films as I intend to entertain the state audience by acting in films associated with such content”, opined Sandalwood star Diganth.
Speaking at a programme “An evening with Diganth”, a leading movie star shared his rise in Sandalwood and gleefully answered questions from the audience, mainly students.
The programme was organised by SDM Post Graduate Centre as a part of “JHENKARA”, an academic and cultural fest at Indra Prastha Indoor Stadium in Ujire.
Terming the audience as heroes, Diganth expressed his gratitude to all his fans on the occasion. “Fan support is vital for an actor to rise in the industry”, said the actor, who went onto show his disinclination for script ridden with violence despite many offers coming his way.
Art is open for all where some succeed with little luck, Diganth proceeded, recollecting his little role in debut film Mungaru Male which provided the right platform for growth in the Kannada film industry. Hardwork, patience and continuous improvement based on research were vital for survival in the industry, Diganth stated.
Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala Dr. Veerendra Heggade called upon the students to involve in cultural activities while giving equal importance to studies. Hemavathi Heggade and Secretary of SDM Group of Institutions Dr. B Yashoverma were present on the occasion.
Diganth keenly watched the cultural programme later and witnessed the release of Amma song album created by the Wakeup band.
