Kudla’s surfer Tanvi Jagadish wins international award

Mangaluru: India’s young surfer and stand-up paddler Tanvi Jagadish from Mangaluru has bagged an international award from the US. Tanvi is the first Indian stand-up paddler to win an international award.

The award “Grom of the year” is being conferred by SUP Connect, a San Diego-USA based organisation from California.

An overwhelmed Tanvi said that the award will inspire many young female surfers to achieve in the field.

Tanvi Jagadish, a resident of Kolachi Kambala in Sasihitlu will receive the award next month. She had represented India in an international surfing event held in North Carolina in April 2016 and bagged the third place. Tanvi is a member of Mulky Mantra Surfing Club.
