Bantwal: The State High court has granted conditional bail to eight accused in the killing of Karpady gram panchayath vice president Abdul Jaleel on October 17.
Sachin, Prajwal Rai, Roshan, Puneet, Keshav, Pushparaj, Prashanth and Vachan out of 11 accused were granted bail on Tuesday by Justice K S Mudagal.
First accused in the murder case Rajesh Nayak and two others Narasimha, and Sathish Rai were denied bail by the court after hearing the criminal appeal filed by Advocate Arun Shyam in favour of the accused.
It may be recalled that Korapady Taluk Panchayat Vice President Jaleel Karopady was brutally murdered by motorbike-borne masked assailants on April 20. Police have arrested 11 of the underworld don Vicky Shetty’s aides in connection with the case.
