Kasargod: A man who went missing allegedly after murdering his wife near Mavungal has committed suicide by hanging himself.
Gangadhar(58) from Kuthikol is the deceased.
It may be recalled that Laxmi, wife of Gangadhar was stabbed to death near her daughter’s house on Thursday. It is learnt that soon after murdering his wife, the man had gone to a liquor shop at Iriya. Thereafter he committed suicide by hanging himself near the shop. The body was found on Friday afternoon.
Ambalathara police have registered a case in this regard.
The couple was staying in their daughter Gayathri’s house from the last month as their son-in-law used to come home late at night. Th couple often used to quarrel for some reason or the other. It is said that Laxmi was murdered and her daughter was not aware of the same despite being at home.
When Gayathri’s husband Ajith, an auto driver came home in the afternoon, he did not find Laxmi. He started searching for her and found her in a pool of blood near the house.
The pin of suspicion pointed at Gangadhar, who had gone missing after the incident.
