Sullia: A Bajrang Dal leader was subjected to moral policing by the general public here at Bellare for harassing women in drunken stupor besides seeking their mobile numbers.
It is learnt that Santosh Shetty Madavu, a leader of Bajrang Dal, used to get drunk often and frequently trailed women.
On Thursday the locals fed up with his behaviour decided to take him to task and beat him up before handing him over to the police. A video of this incident has gone viral in social media.
Bellare police,who have taken him into custody, are questioning him. Santosh, a local, was habitually harassing girl students of college, it is gathered.
