Mangaluru: A daily wage worker who abducted a three-year-old baby in the city has been nabbed by the police on Friday, April 28.
It is said that Rathnamma from Gadag had kidnapped a child which was playing outside NJ Crest Apartment in Chilimbi on Thursday morning.
The father, Yellappa from Bellary is working as security guard at the said apartment. However, the intention behind Rathnamma’s act has not been confirmed.
Rathnamma was in an inebriated state when she was nabbed from Mallikatte, sources said.
Police from Pandeshwara women’s police station have filed kidnap case against the woman and produced her before the court. She has been remanded to judicial custody.
