Kasaragod: Kasaragod police received a shot in the arm after 3 canines were inducted into the existing Dog squad, taking their strength to five.
Canines named Charlie, Gauri and Camey are now part of the dog squad. Three were inducted into the dog squad after training them for six months to support police in investigations.
After undergoing training at a centre based in Haryana, German Shepherd and Labrador Breed dogs will assist police in bomb detection, vehicle inspection, theft, burglary and several other cases. Each dog has two trainers to supervise their movements and already have become the cynosure of many eyes in the city with their breathtaking acrobatic skills.
