Mangaluru: KPCC General Secretary U B Venkatesh told the reporters that in the forthcoming Assembly elections the Congress would win all the 8 constituencies of Dakshina Kannada.
“The party will also form a team of 45 members, to work at booth level and campaign about the various development programmes of Congress government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in 4.2 years. Karnataka government has already fulfilled 155 out of 165 assurances given to the people. In the coming days, it will also fulfil the rest”, he said.
He also said that Congress will hold conventions in the constituencies of Congress MLAs to brief people about their developmental programmes in their respective areas.
Including himself, AICC had appointed Rajkumar, Ivan Negli and Arun Machaiaha as in-charges of Dakshina Kannada for the upcoming elections, he informed.
Condemning the stone pelting on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s car, he termed the I-T raid on Congress State Minister D K Shivakumar as politically motivated. Let the union government subject BJP leaders Shobha Karandlaje and D V Sadhananda Gowda to the raids, he added.
MLA Moideen Bhava, MLA Abhaychandra Jain, Dakshina Kannada District President Harish Kumar and others were present.
