Mangaluru: Christian community leaders along with district Youth Congress members and like-minded people filed a complaint with police commissioner T Suresh against a youth who posted derogatory comments against Jesus Christ, thus trying to incite communal tension in the district.
The accused, Akshar Boliyamajal, in a Facebook post commented “F**k my foot Jesus Christ” besides posting lewd comments against Islam and Mother Teresa.
After filing the complaint Youth Congress president Mithun Rai said that some anti-social elements have been constantly trying to disrupt peace in the region by making such derrogatory comments. “We demand stern action against the culprit who has insulted and hurt the sentiments of Christian and Muslim community. The accused must be arrested,” he said
Meril Rego, Lawrence Dsouza, Sheldon Crasta, Rohan Kulshekar, Sandesh Pakshikere, Girish Alva, Viyon Robin, Ivy Melisha, Jaison Surathkal, Vivan Kulshekar, corporator Praveen Chandra Alva, youth from various parishes, youth Congress members were present.
