Mangaluru: Terming the Siddaramaiah-led state Congress government as the most corrupt in the nation, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday, February 18 stated that the chief minister had failed to live upto his promise to fight corruption.

Addressing a press gathering at the BJP office here, Nalin criticised the Congress government for its failure to implement new schemes in the state despite four years of governance. Whichever schemes and projects are functional were implemented by the BJP during its tenure, he claimed. The Congress government had even failed to complete some of them started by BJP, he alleged.

He further ridiculed the chief minister on his electoral promise of fighting against corruption by highlighting the recent IT raids conducted on residences of Congress leaders- Ramesh Jarkiholi and Laxmi Hebbalkar saying that no action was taken against them. He also targeted Siddaramaiah on the alleged kickbacks he is said to have received in the steel flyover project.

On the issue of BSY- Ananth Kumar CD, Nalin mentioned it was the diversionary tactics deployed by the Congress to divert attention towards BJP leaders adding that the CD was a doctored one created to hide the failures of the government.

On the developmental projects undertaken, he mentioned that the state government had not done much in that area too, with the sole exception of the Anna Bhagya scheme. Nalin also alleged that a lot of schemes launched by BJP were revoked by Congress.

BJP leaders Krishna J Palemar, Monappa Bhandary, Sanjeev Matandoor, Brijesh Chowta and others were also present.
