Mangaluru: Defying Mangaluru City Police Commissioner’s denial of permission, the BJP Mahila Morcha went ahead with the protest at Town Hall here on July 13. Addressing the protestors, BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa termed the state Congress government a shameless and irresponsible government.

“Inorder to prevent the people from watching the protest, the state government has disconnected the cable connection. This is so shameless. We cannot expect any justice from this Siddaramaiah-led Congress government which is responsible for the death of Sharath Madival. For justice we must awaken and stand up against the the government.

To defeat Ramanath Rai in Bantwal Taluk, we don’t need Shobha Karandlaje or D V Sadananda Gowda to come and contest. A common BJP party worker will contest against him and win the elections. Unfortunately, announcement of Sharath’s death was delayed to allow the CM’s arrival to take part in Congress convention. This is really a hopeless government”, he said.

He also alleged that the people who murdered 24 Hindu activists in the state had arrived from Kerala after its MP Venugopal became the in-charge of Karnataka Congress and that such incidents were repeating. Venugopal is motivating such murders.

“This street play of Congress government will last for only nine months. In the entire country, Congress has been vanquished and it is alive only in Karnataka. Congress is in such a pathetic condition that there are no sufficient MPs to become opposition in Lok Sabha. To protect the miscreants, sincere police officers are been transferred”, he charged.

He also dared the state government to prove that Sangh Parivar or BJP leaders had pelted stones during the funeral procession. “All MPs from Karnataka will meet PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and bring all the activities here to their notice. After the government revokes Section 144 in Dakshina Kannada, BJP will hold a massive protest in Mangaluru. Nearly 1 lakh people will take part in this. And Union Home minister will also join this protest. Such incidents like Sharath’s death should not repeat in future. Sowing the seeds of communal unrest for the political gains will not work in Karnataka”, BSY said.

He also demanded a ban on KFD and PFI organisations in Karnataka. “If you dare to arrest Dr. Prabhakar Bhat you will face the consequences. Congress cannot tolerate our leaders’ growth. Hence it wants to politically finish Nalin Kumar Kateel, Shobha Karandlaje and Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat”, he claimed.

He also called on the people to maintain law and order in the district.

MP Shobha Karandlaje said the Congress government had failed to arrest the accused in the murder of RSS activist Sharath Madival.

She also demanded that the government should ban PFI and KFD accusing them of murdering 250 right wing activists in the country. She also said that all the MPs will urge the union government to investigate the cases in Bantwal through NIA.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel compared the situation of Dakshina Kannada with terrorism in Kashmir. “District In-charge Minister Ramanath Rai’s contribution to the district is communal violence and no development. If NIA investigates the case Ramanath Rai will be the first person to go behind the bars”, he said.

Mahila Morcha President Sulochana G K Bhat, BJP leaders Kota Srinivas Poojary, Captain Ganesh Karnik, Pooja Pai and others were present.
