Mangaluru: Minister for food & civil supplies U T Khader who has been at the receiving end of BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje’s speeches for the communal unrest in the Dakshina Kannada district seized the opportunity to lash out at the minister after she committed several factual errors in a letter written to the union home minister.
In her letter to Rajnath Singh, Shobha had mentioned 23 names of RSS, Hindu activists which she claimed to have been murdered by the communal forces operating in the Dakshina district. However it was later revealed that the list contained name of a living person as well as that of a suicide victim and a person who was murdered out of family feud.
Khader, who has been accused of fueling tensions in the district by Shobha commented that the minister had brought emabarassment to the people of the state by sending a letter which did not contain facts.
This time she defamed state at a national level by openly telling lies to the Centre, he said.
Further he accused her of maintaining double standards as she had conveniently missed to mention names of those who have been murdered by Hindu extremists.
