Mangalore: A woman was slashed to death with a knife in her house at Panjimogeru on Wednesday morning July 30.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Annapoorna, a resident of Koppal.
According to the police officials, the murder might have been committed by Annapoorna’s husband, 40-year-old Fakeerayya, as he is said to be absconding.
Annapoorna stayed with her husband in a rented house at Panjimogeru, while her two children stayed at Koppal.
On Wednesday morning, the neighbors who always found Annapoorna around the house did not see her. When they checked through the window they found her lying motionless.
Blood stains and knife marks were found on the neck and the stomach of Annapoorna. However, the exact reason behind the murder not yet known.
Kavoor police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.
