Mangaluru: M. B Puranik, present of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said that the organization will hold a state-wide protest in the next week, condemning the anti-Hindu policies of the state government and demanding resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaih.
Speaking to the reporters here on Saturday, Puranik alleged that the state government has been following anti-Hindu governance. It withdrew Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill 2010 and the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation (Amendment) Bill 2012. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal condemn this, he added.
“Cattle are the asset of the poor and the farmer. It is sacred for the Hindu community. But, the state government is not serious about it. It is working in the interest of appeasing the minority, he said.
He also said that the VHP condemns Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowment (Amendment) Bill 2014. If there are complaints against Maths, they should be settled in the courts or through Hindu parishads. Maths should not be handed over to the government, he added.
Hence, we will hold massive protest campaigns throughout the state against the government’s anti-Hindu policies and demanding CM Siddaramaiah’s resignation,” said Puranik.
