Mangalore: In an accident at Nanthoor Circle, a tipper lorry and a truck bumped into each other during the early hours on Tuesday May 6.
Two persons were seriously injured in the accident.
The tipper lorry carrying sand in it was approaching the city from Kulshekar whereas the truck carrying boxes of Coca-Cola soft drink cans was on its way to Kerala.
The accident took place when the Coca-Cola truck, rammed into the tipper lorry near the circle, causing both the vehicles to topple. The collision uprooted the traffic police booth as well.
It is said that the truck driver was in a haze and was moving at a high speed. The identities of the drivers have not been revealed but reportedly they have suffered grave injuries. Kadri police are investigating.
