Bantwal: The protest against vice principal and lecturer by the polytechnic students has continued for second day. Students boycotted classes even on August 28 Thursday.
Addressing the protesters Harshith Dsouza said that, “lecturers are blackmailing us by not giving the TC and are abusing us for no reason. Lecturers do not come to college regularly. Even if they come, they do not take classes. They are saying that internal marks, lab marks and practical exam marks are in their hands so marks will not be given if we protest further.”
Ranjith a student said that, “Principal and vice principal come to college only in the afternoon. So parents and students are made to wait for them to get their official work done. Students wait for their signature whole day and they cannot attend classes.” he said.
ABVP also condemned the prejudice by the lecturers. It has urged the Polytechnic college director S K Talavar to take action. If they fail to take action, they would continue the protest across the taluk by boycotting classes.
Students representatives Raghavendra, Jeethraj, Bharathraj, Ashwath, Dhanush and ABVP association leaders Prajwal Bangera, Vasudeva Bhat and Taluk convener Pranamraj Ajjibettu were present.
