PUC girl ends life

Mangalore: A girl studying in first PUC allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Kelarai, Neermarga  on August 31.

The deceased has been identifed as 16-year-old Akshata, who allegedly hanged herself in her room on the evening of Sunday, when she was home alone.

Akshata is the daughter of Umesh who is a forest personnel in the forest mobile squad while her mother Kamalakshi, is the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) in Kadri police station.

According to the reports, Akshata’s father and brother had gone to the temple and her mother was on duty, when she committed suicide.

The reason of her extreme step is not known, however it is alleged that Akshata was in a relationship with a guy who had recently ended his life, depressed over the issue, she committed suicide.

A case has been registered in Kankanady rural police station.
