Opposition did not allow debate on many issues: Khader

Mangalore : “The Assembly session was carried out smoothly for a month but at the final stage opposition parties created a ruckus and  did not allow us to have discussion on various vital issues. They have cheated people by  doing so. They are jealous of the CMs popularity,” said State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday July 29,  Khader said  the  CM had assured of all kinds of probe against Arkavathi Denotification issue but still opposition did not listen to us. During question hour speaker had promised of giving opportunity to discuss the matter. But the opposition created unnecessary ruckus in the assembly, he said.

A hanging bridge will be constructed in Pavoor-Uliya area in Ullal and a sum of Rs 3 crores has been already released  for the purpose.Soon the construction work will begin, he said.

Referring to the several infant death cases in the state, he said  an awareness will be created by the health department on the causes of infant deaths.The awareness drive will be kickstarted in Kadugollanahalli in Bangalore, he informed.

On the issue of changing the name of Dakshina Kannada district, Khader said that the name should not be changed.

Congress leader T K Sudhir and many others were present at the press meet.
