One killed, five St. Aloysius College students injured in accident

Mangaluru: A student of St. Aloysius Pre-University College, Mangaluru was killed while his five other classmates were severely injured, after their car hit the rear of a private bus near NITK hostel in Surathkal on Saturday, November 22.

According to the Mangalore North (Traffic) police, the deceased has been identified as Mohamed Hasil, son of Ibrahim, who hails from Kudroli.

The other five injured have been identified as Mohemmed Rizwan, Munaf, Nihal, Sayyad Sha and Afridi. All of them are said to be minors and are students of St. Aloysius Pre-University College, Mangaluru.

The incident took place when the bus belonging to a private company in Padubidri was heading towards Udupi from Mangalore. It is learnt that Rizwan was driving the car when he lost control in a bid to overtake the bus.

Police said that the incident took place when they were roaming around the city. The injured were rushed to a near-by hospital.

Mangalore traffic (North) police has registered a case.
