‘No parking’ sign board ignored – vehicles parked inside Govt office

Bantwal: In this old taluk panchayath building a ‘No parking’ board has been put up under the signature of the Tahshildar. But people who come there do not seem to be bothered about the sign and instead park their vehicles.

The food and election departments have been shifted to this old panchayath building as the construction of mini Vidhana Soudha has begun. The social forestry department, Working Journalists Union Press club, Panemangalore Nodal office, Nemmadhi Kendra, Navachentana Seva Trust have been already functioning in this building. So everyday the building gets crowded. To prevent the place getting over crowded, the tahshildar has put up the ‘No parking’ sign board in front of the office.

People park their vehicles wherever they want, as there is no specific area marked as parking zone here in BC Road. One can find two wheelers parked inside the taluk panchayath building premises. People from B C Road and coming from Mangaluru, park their vehicles inside the building ignoring the ‘No parking’ board which was mainly displayed as the building gets crowded after many additional offices have been shifted.

Another problem is that people who come to taluk office fear being knocked down as the two wheelers rush move about at high speed inside the building.
