Mangalore: Kadri cricketers club celebrated Mosaru kudike here on August 18 at Kadri grounds.The large crowd gathered in the ground celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with devotion. People from different communities enjoyed the celebration, which was a blend of culture and religion.
In the cultural programme dance troupes and singers entertained the audience. Young actor, director Rakshith Shetty was the special guest on the occasion. There was a grand entry organized for him and the crowd gave him a boisterous welcome. Playback singers Ambili Menon and Sangeetha entralled the audience as well as the Ministers who enjoyed the occasion with complete thrill.
The procession comprised of tableaus, Chende teams, Bands, Gombe etc. Firecracker show was the attractions of the procession. The procession was followed by Mosarukudike.
Mahabala Marla, Mangalore city corporation mayor, Ramanath Rai, Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development, U T Khader, Health and Family welfare minister, Abhaychandra Jain, minister for youth services and Fisheries, Ivan Dsouza, MLC and MLAs Moideen Bhava, J R Lobo inaugurated the programme.
Mangalore Town planning development president, MCC Corporator Ashok Kumar D K was honoured during the occasion.
In the cultural programme ‘BoyZone’ and a team of Pramod Alva performed. ‘Rajgopal team’ from Bangalore also entertained the audience with the musical night.
Sushmitha Rao and Roopesh Shetty filled glamour as they compered the event.
