Mangalore: A man was brutally hacked to death by a gang in the morning hours at Kannur, Adyar on Friday October 31.
The deceased has been identified 28-year-old Ijja alias Ijaz, son of Ismail. He was killed with machetes by a group of 6 people.
Reportedly Ijaz had visited Modelling Hair Dressers in Kannur for shaving, when he was attacked by the assailants.
Alarmed at the violence, people an helter-skelter, while the attackers fled from the scene in a car after the crime.
According to the sources Ijaz’s murder, was linked to the murder of a person about a year back, which is said to be the reason to the attack.
City police commissioner, R Hitendra, along the city rural police as well as other officials rushed to the spot.
The body was shifted to Wenlock Hospital. A case has been registered, investigations are on.
