Mangaluru: A 23-year old man was beaten black and blue for touching a nine-year old girl ‘inappropriately’ in a moving private bus from Bengaluru to Dharmasthala.
According to Belthangady police, the accused Lokesh was sitting behind the girl’s seat. When the accused touched the girl inappropriately, she reported the matter to her mother, who was sitting in a different seat. After confronting with the accused person, the girl’s parents and their co-passengers thrashed the accused when they all alighted at Dharmasthala.
After he was thrashed by her co-passengers in Dharmasthala, he reportedly managed to flee from the spot.
Lokesh has been booked under POCSO Act.
