Mangaluru: Assuming the post of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman, Ibrahim Kodijal sought complete cooperation of MUDA commissioner and office bearers of the authority on Friday here at its office.
Though, the new Chairman did not touch upon the current problems of MUDA, he expressed that he would work in the direction of protecting interests of the citizens of the city. “I will never draw any distinction of caste, religion and party while addressing the problems of the people.”
He said from 1969, since he stepped into politics he worked for the people. “This would be his new opportunity to serve the city after he worked as interim president of the district congress.” He attributed success to the party workers claiming workers play pivotal role in propelling credible leaders to any helm.” Besides he thanked all the top national leaders of the congress and MLAs of Dakshina Kannada.
The Mayor of Mangalore City Corporation advised the new Chairman to resolve the problems of the people and the city. He urged Kodijal to bring in few changes consulting Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake. MLA J R Lobo, MLA Mohideen Bawa and MLC Ivan D’souza congratulated Kodijal congratulated Kodijal on the occasion.
