ICYM Madanthyar celebrates Youth Nite 2015

Mangaluru: ICYM Madanthyar organized a ‘Youth Nite’  on Sunday January 25 at Sacred Heart church campus in the evening.

The programme began with a grand procession along ‘Nasik dhol’ – RFC tigers. The procession started from Madanthyar bus stand, it was inaugurated by Rev.  Fr Simon D’souza – Director, ICYM Belthangady Deanery.

The stage show showcased entertaining performances from various cultural and youth organizations of Madanthyar Parish. These include a Konkani play ‘Sook Konachi’ whose story, screenplay and direction was done Tyson D’Cunha,  music by Dinesh Prabhu and was enacted by ICYM members. The play enthralled the audience.

The other highlights of the show were – a Tulu comedy show ‘Kusalda Kulari’ the winners of bale taipale spread laughter among the audience while dance group – Frictions dance crew – Mangalore performed dance moves that encouraged the gathering also dance to their tunes.

Over 2500 crowd was present for the show, amazing Fire show and crackers were displayed at the end ot the event.

Namma TV and Big F.M. VJ Roopesh Shetty compered the event,  Jaison Gonsalves, President ICYM Madanthyar welcomed the gathering while Arwin Moras, Secretary ICYM Madanthyar delivered vote of thanks.

President – Rev Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, parish priest of sacred heart Madanthyar church, Chief guest – Dr Abraham varghese, Correspondent St George Educational Institutions Nelyady addressed the gathering.

Rev. Fr Simon D’souza, Rev Fr Clifford pinto, assistant parish priest Madanthyar church, Gregory Sera and Ronald Sequeira vice president and secretary of parish pastoral parish Madanthyar church, Vivek Vincent pais, director of sri kshetra dharmasthala rural development project, Sr. Cecilia Crasta – Superior Maria Kripa Girls Centre, Sr. Santhan Rodrigues – Superior Sacred Heart Students home, Sr. Reshma Rodrigues – ICYM lady animator and others were present.

“The main sponsors  of this event is  Mrs Leena D’souza and family, in memory of late J.B. D’souza and the co-sponsors are big brother Lancy Pinto and Joel Mendonca.”
