Moodbidri: The Bhajrangdal has charged the government of failure to initiate stern action to prevent sexual crimes against women.
Participating ain a protest organised by the VHP and Bhajrangdal near the bus stand here on July 28, Monday, VHP Taluk Convenor Somanath Kotian alleged that the government was shielding rapists. He also advised women to keep acid bottles handy in their bags rather than cosmetics.
Continuing, he said the government which speaks about invoking goonda act on rapists, on the other hand is trying to protect them.
Shyama Hegde, VHP taluk unit chief, KP Jagadish Adhikari, BJP leader, Nagaraj Poojari, Councillor and several others participated in the protest.
