Mangalore: Bhima Jewellers, a leading jewellery showroom of Southern India founded by Bhima Bhattar at Alleppey in 1925 inaugurated its new showroom in the city on Wednesday October 1.
The new showroom which is in the center of the city, near SCS Hospital, Bendore was inaugurated by N Vinaya Hegde, chairman, NITTE Group of Institutions.
Bhima Jewellers outlets are in many cities and towns across, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka including India’s largest jewellery showroom at Trivandrum and the new showroom will be definitely beneficial to the city.
After inaugurating the showroom N Vinaya Hegde that he was grateful that such a huge venture gave him an opportunity to inaugurate the new showroom.
Rashmi, CEO of Bhima and Dr Ashajyothi Rai of Aasare Charitable Trust (R) also wished the venture well.
The first sale of gold was made to Dr Ashajyothi Rai of Aasare Charitable Trust (R) while the first sale of diamond was made to Vaishnavi V Kamath, partner, Mangala Cashew Industries.
Bhima Jewellers has come to Mangalore with 89 years of heritage and focuses on the principle of selling pure gold.
B Krishnan, managing partner of Bhima Jewellers, Vishnu Sharan K Bhatt, partner, Bhima Jewellers, chief manager Srinivasan and production manager Ramesh were also present on the occasion.
