Bantwal People look for ‘Acche Din’ as New ASP takes charge

Bantwal: The new Assistant Superintendent of Police, Bantwal, Rahul Kumar faces an acid test, with several challenges awaiting him in his jurisdictional area.

Miscreants, out to create trouble are aplenty in Bantwal area. Fights for silly issues, gang wars, murders have shaken the city every now and then. Illegal businesses too flourish with the patronage of officials and politicians. In addition there is the illegal sand mining mafia moving sand to Kerala and Bangalore, prostitution rackets in lodges of BC road, cattle theft, moral policing etc to contend with.

Can Rahul Kumar put a brake on all of these?

The recent attack on Police in a programme in Kalladka, communal tension in Bantwal, toll gate assault…can he resolve all of these?

The Shivappa murder case, Bharathi murder case, Rajesh poojary an auto driver murder case in Benjanapadav, Soujanya murder case, assault on girls, mobile-facebook crimes, naxal problem in Belthangady-Venoor area, illegal business in Punjalkatte, theft cases in Vittal, robbers from Kerala entering Karnataka, irresponsible Police at check posts,  and so many cases…people are hoping that at least the present ASP can put an end to all the crimes and atrocities in Bantwal.

People suffer due to the unending traffic mess on BC Road. The illegal shops, rickshaw parking; can he initiate action on them?

Can he change Bantwal? Only time will tell what happens next…

Only Puttur had an ASP post earlier. At the time, ASP Dayanand became famous because he could tackle the situation. Bantwal Circle inspector Nanjunde Gowda also had helped in his mission. He had put an end to girl kidnapping and had arrested Cyanide killer Mohan and also stopped the flourishing illegal petrol trade. In fact people still remember his services to society.

Dr Harsha, Chandragupta, Amit Singh, Rohini Katoucha, Dr Anucheth were all brave officers who efficiently worked for the people and ensured justice to all.

People want the ASP to look into all these issues and hope for ‘Acche din’ ahead.
