Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party held a demonstration in front of the MCC building on Thursday November 27, protesting against the postponement in appointing a commissioner for the Mangalore City Corporation.
There has been an internal dispute among the administration members because of which, for the past seven months a commissioner has not been appointed, alleged BJP leader Umanath Kotian addressing the gathering.
He further stressed that because of the non-appointment, the corporation works have been hindered and there has been inappropriate administration in the City Corporation. Kotian alleged that there is an internal clash between Ramanath Rai, Vinay Kumar Sorake, JR Lobo, Moideen Bava and Ivan D’ Souza.
MLC Monappa Bhandary, Ravishankar Mizar, Corporator Sudhir Shetty and Premananda Shetty also addressed the protesters.
