Modbidri: ‘Alvas Vidyarthi Siri 2014’ kicked off at the Dr. V.S. Acharya Auditorium, Vidyagiri today. It was inaugurated by Guinness record holder, national awardee Master Kishan SS inaugurated. Alvas Vidyarthi Siri 2014’ is a student literary and cultural convention organized by Alva’s Education Foundation.
Usha A. welcomed the gathering. After inaugurating the fest, Master Kishan, speaking to the gathering said, “If we have a goal ahead us, and if we have a guru behind us to guide, then success is so easy. There is nothing impossible in this world, and also there is no end to the process of acquiring knowledge”.
“Civilizations have witnessed various revolutions. Nations with technology will rule the world in next 30 years’ he averred.
Kum. Shruddha N. Paivalike presided over the inaugural function. In her presidential speech she said “Literature always teaches truth, values and positive things. Avoiding literature has resulted in growth of negative factors. Children’s’ mind is like wet wall. Bringing positive impression in their minds is an easy task. We should work towards this”.

‘Alvas Vidyarthi Prathibha Puraskara 2014’ was conferred on Akshay Hegade, Ayana V. Raman & Gethalakshmi K during the inaugural.
