Mangaluru: On the occasion of the 104th death anniversary of Fr Muller, who worked relentlessly to bring succour to the poor and suffering, two new buildings were inaugurated here on Saturday.
Mangaluru diocese bishop Most Rev Aloysius Paul Dsouza inaugurated and blessed Don Bosco-2 boys hostel for post graduates.
The new hostel for the post graduates has 5 floors, 277 rooms and 40 air conditioned rooms.
Another new Utility building which consists of a homeopathic centre, Skills lab, pharmacy and a new parking area was also inaugurated by the bishop.
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Fr Muller hospital, Fr Richard Coelho, administrator of the hospital, Fr Rudolf Ravi Dsa, administrator of medical college, Fr Roshan crasta, assistant administrator of hospital, Dr J P Alva, dean of the medical college, Dr Sanjeeva Rai, Chief of medical services, Sr Ilin, nursing Superintendent were present on the occasion.
On the occasion management and bishop felicitated the contractors and engineers who designed the two beautiful buildings. Christopher Noronha the architect of the building, Arun Kumar and other engineers were felicitated on the occasion.
On the same occasion Swach Bharat Abhiyan on Kannada Rajyotsava Day organised by the Mangalore diocese in all the churches and institutions was also kickstarted by the Bishop at Valencia circle.
Local MLAs, corporators and Staff and students of Fr Muller Hospital and college participated in the campaign.
