Mandya: A Redmi note 4 mobile phone exploded in a mobile outlet sending panic waves among the people present around, on Saturday.
A customer had booked Redmi Note 4 Mobile Online. Unable to switch on the handset on receipt , he approached a nearby outlet on RP road seeking assistance.
When the outlet executive switched on the handset, it immediately started emitting smoke, it is gathered. Sensing danger, he threw the mobile and it exploded.
Customers and staff present at the outlet were terrified at the turn of events. Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.
It may be noted, two similar incidents have been reported in the recent past in the fast selling Xiaomi make Redmi 4 which does not contain a separate battery.
