Madikeri: Office bearers of the media committee for the All India 80th Kannada Sahitya Sammelan have openly aired their resentment against the sammelan reception committee and have alleged that the latter was hesitating to provide basic amenities to media delegates who would be arriving from various parts of the state to report the Sammelan. The media committee office bearers have also said the committee will be dissolved if arrangements could not be made by January 1.
Speaking to reporters Sridhar Nellittaya, district president of journalists association and principal convenor of the media committee and other office bearers said though they had submitted their list of demands to the reception committee and other committees, the latter which had initially agreed, has now suggested that 35 computers used by students of FMC college be used and food arrangements made for the media delegates at a place which is close by the lavatory. He said using computers used by college students may not be advisable as there is chance of loss of data stored by the students making the media men responsible for the same
