Madikeri: In a heart-rending incident in Madikeri, a mother spent a whole night along with her dead son in an ambulance on Monday, June 27.
The mother-daughter duo who spent the night with the dead body of their son
Lohith (22), a bus driver died after he fell from the bus. He was the sole-bread winner of the family. The body was taken for autopsy and was returned to their rented house at around 11 pm. Unfortunately, the house owner refused to let the body inside, and the mother-daughter duo had to spent the night inside the ambulance with the body.
Even after Lohith’s father, who is now living in Hebbale after abandoning his wife and children, was informed about the death, he did not bother to respond nor help. The mother, who had no money to perform the last rites, spent all night weeping.
However, on Tuesday, a few associations and locals convinced the house owner to let the aggrieved family members to take the body inside the house. Later, bus owners and public helped the family to perform the last rites.
