Madikeri: With Kodagu district reeling under drought-like situation, the Kodagu Zilla Panchayat has decided to take a delegation to meet the Chief Minister.
An emergency meet chaired by Zilla Panchayat President B A Harish resolved to meet the CM and press for funds to tackle the drought situation in the hilly district of Kodagu.
The members of ZP expressed their anger over the ZP officials not submitting a proper report to the Government on the drought situation. They said that despite three taluks being declared as drought-hit, the officials are still in slumber.
The meet decided to chalk out the plan after District in-charge Minister’s visit to the district which has been scheduled for January 10.
