Madikeri: The Codava National Council (CNC) has insisted on NIA investigations into the unwanted forceful demand for Tippu Jayanthi (Tippu Birthday) celebrations by certain disgruntled Anti National group with ulterior motive of seedling and generating International Terrorism – i.e ISIS – RA&W. The Council has thereby requested the government to not celebrate Tipu Sultan s Jayanthi anymore, as it only creates a state of anarchy in the country and does not in any way help the country grow.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, the President, UN Secretary General, Unon Home Minister, Union Minister for External Affair, Karnataka Governor and National Security Advisor, CNC President N U Nachappa has said that birth anniversary celebrations of erstwhile Ruler of Mysore tyrant Tipu Sultan has been scheduled to be held on 10-11-2016 by the Govt of Karnataka in Coorg.
“The people who insist for such a celebrations at the behest of the government are interested only to take undue advantage from the Govt side and take refuge to gain legal sanctity for the seedling of International Terrorism in Coorg,” he said in the letter adding that the Kodavas have a very bitter historical connection to tyrant ruler Tipu Sulthan. Devatt Paramb is a site that witnessed the massacre of thousands of Codavas in 1785 by Psychopathic Tippu and his French East India Company allied forces, the letter said.
Each and every Codava child has been told at sometime or the other of this tragic massacre at Devatt Paramb. The trauma caused by the Tyrant ruler is being passed from generations to generations, Nachappa said in the letter adding that certain disgruntled political personages including a former Law maker of Karnataka hailing from Kodagu (Coorg) and who is known to be the prime instigator of communal disharmony in Kodagu, now has come forward to pressurize the celebration of Tippu Birthday (Tippu Jayanthi) as though he is the only and sole spokes person of certain community.
The people who insist for such a celebrations at the behest of Govt are interested only to take undue advantage from the government and take refuge and to gain legal sanctity for International Terrorism.
