Sirsi: The first additional district court here granted anticipatory bail to Member of Parliament Ananth Kumar Hegde on Thursday, January 19.
Hegde was booked for beating up on duty doctors and other staff personnel of TSS Hospital on January 2 where his mother was undergoing treatment.
Hegde was reportedly agitated since the hospital staff delayed attending to his mother.
The police lodged a suo moto case against Hegde on the basis of the statements of the hospital staff and the CCTV footage which captured the incident.
Hegde was represented by advocate G V Naik.
