On Thursday, May 5 the district witnessed a heavy downpour bringing relief from the scorching heat. The residents on Friday morning saw hundreds of new born frogs in front of the house of a villager.

The incident came to light when one of the villagers went and peeped into a drainage after he heard a rare sound.

Due to water crisis, thousands of fish and frogs died in the village lake.

According to some villagers, frogs usually go under earth due to lack of water and drought. They come out to the main layer of the earth when it rains.

However, they added that they have never seen frogs in such a huge number till date and it is an unusual experience.
